Turkish Religious Foundation sent the Holy Quran to strengthen social ties in Senegal

Turkish Religious Foundation (TDV) distributed the Holy Quran in Senegal within the scope of the “Let the Quran be my gift” project.

The ceremony for the project was held at the Dakar Islamic Institute in the capital Dakar, with the participation of Turkey’s Ambassador to Dakar Nur Sağman, Head of Islamic Affairs Integration and Arabic Education Alumni Djim Drame, and Dakar Religious Affairs and Social Services Counselor. Ambassador Faruk Uslu and Senegalese officials.

In his speech, Ambassador Sağman drew attention to the excellent state of Türkiye-Senegal relations in all areas and pointed out that cooperation, especially in social issues, is gradually increasing.

Sağman emphasized that TDV is one of the most important foundations in Turkey and provides aid to those in need in many countries through various initiatives. He expressed his happiness that the Quran and religious books distributed by TDV within the scope of the “Let the Quran be my gift” project reached Senegal.

Dakar Embassy Religious Affairs and Social Services Counselor Uslu reminded the participants that TDV is facing an intense demand for the Holy Quran both from home and abroad.

Uslu noted that within the scope of the project, more than 2 million Holy Qurans were distributed in 42 languages ​​and dialects in 91 countries.

Within the scope of this initiative, 1,140 Holy Qurans, 250 of which were in French translation, 150 beginner-level Arabic books (“elif-ba”) and 100 books covering various subjects for libraries were delivered to representatives of federations affiliated with madrassas in 2015 . Senegal.

After the ceremony, Ambassador Sağman visited the Compassionate Path Association and received information from the representatives of the association.
