PARKERSBURG, W.Va. (WTAP) – WVSSAC has filed a request for Expedited Relief with the West Virginia Supreme Court of Appeals.

On November 14, the WVSSAC filed a motion asking the Supreme Court to allow the West Virginia high school football playoffs to proceed under the classification system used all season long.

They want the Supreme Court to allow the playoffs to be played as originally planned before the Wood County Circuit Court issues an injunction to use the December 2023 classifications.

The Supreme Court did not say when the decision would be published because the application had just been made.
