It’s fashionable to be square again! Hollywood Squares will see Drew Barrymore Take center stage (or make this frame) on CBS starting in early 2025.

The network explained midseason premiere dates on Wednesday, November 13, including the series premiere on January 9, 2025. Hollywood Squares. While the classic game show has been reworked many times over the years, it returns to its roots and original home with Barrymore in the central square. Nate Burleson as a host.

The show airs on Thursday nights for the first three weeks, then moves to Wednesday nights. Price is Reasonable at Night And Raid the Cage It starts on January 29. These two shows will both premiere on January 8, 2025.

CBS describes the format this way: “Two contestants play tic-tac-toe to win money and prizes. The ‘board’ of the game is a vertical stack of open-faced cubes, each with a celebrity sitting at a table and facing the contestants. Celebrities are asked questions and contestants decide the legitimacy of their answers to win the game. … Drew Barrymore will replace her as the celebrity ‘center square’ answering contestants’ questions.”

The announcement came with official first-look photos of Barrymore on set. She can be seen posing in an old-school competition chair next to host and former NFL player Burleson (above) and sitting down for a photo alone (below).

Hollywood Squares has not announced its celebrities yet, but in August Gabriel Iglesias revealed some of this when he shared an Instagram video while recording; Most of the A-list names appear in the frames.

Some of the names include former NFL player and current co-host. Speech, Akbar Gbajabiamilaformer Society star Yvette Nicole Browncomedian Whitney CummingsAnd Charwoman actor Oliver Hudson.

Other names seen in the background of Iglesias’ Instagram Stories include comedian Triumph the Insult Comic Dog. Tig Notaro, What Do We Do in the Shadows? star Kristen Schaal, And Just Like That… actor Canton of Mario, Neighbourhood stars Tichina Arnold And Beth BehrsAnd The Carol Burnett Show handle Vicki Lawrence.

The video gives fans their first glimpse at the set, which appears to be inspired by the original version of the set from the 1960s. Hollywood Squares. Nine cubes are stacked on top of each other in a 3 x 3 grid, and the studio’s floor is wood-paneled.

Original Hollywood Squares homeowner Peter Marshall He died of kidney failure in the summer at the age of 98. Marshall hosted the show from 1966 to 1981 and won four Daytime Emmy Awards.
