But for the first time in Pendleton’s 20-year history, a new American distilled bourbon is being added to the portfolio. “Bourbon sales have increased 50% over the past five years, providing Pendleton Whiskey with a tremendous growth opportunity in the category,” Lander Otegui, senior vice president of marketing for Proximo Spirits, which owns the Pendleton Whiskey brand, said via email. “Pendleton Whiskey’s existing consumer base and aspiring consumers are seeking different tastes and experiences but rallying behind the same desire to select whiskey brands that reflect their western lifestyle heritage and work ethic.”

“Pendleton 1910 Bourbon is a 10-year-old bourbon intended for use in classic bourbon cocktails like the Old Fashioned or Cowboy Gold Rush,” Otegui said. “Pendleton 1910 Bourbon’s rich and bold flavor profile and high-proof liquid add to the range of whiskeys from a brand people love and trust.” The 1910 Bourbon is aged in white American oak and, like all Pendleton whiskeys, cut to 90 proof (45% ABV) using glacier-fed water from Mount Hood.
