Drugs found in the house were mixed with children’s toys

FLOYD COUNTY, Ky. (WYMT) – Two people are facing charges stemming from an incident where police found meth, marijuana, fentanyl and other drug paraphernalia at a home.

Police were dispatched to a home in Langley on Wednesday to check on the welfare of several children.

When a police officer arrived on scene, he noticed a man on the porch who appeared to be smoking marijuana. When police arrived, they found the man, identified as Dustin Hoover, 21, of East.

Police also discovered children’s toys were laced with meth, fentanyl and drug paraphernalia, and a box of sand toys was found with marijuana all over it.

According to the arrest report, children were seen playing with a toy box when police arrived.

While at the home, 28-year-old Kristina Blankenship reportedly told police the drugs outside belonged to Hoover.

Blankenship then pointed to a shoebox that he said belonged to him, containing a small amount of Neurontin and marijuana.

Hoover was arrested and charged with first-degree wanton endangerment, first-degree possession of a controlled substance – first offense (methamphetamine), possession of marijuana, drug paraphernalia – purchase/possession, public intoxication – controlled substance (except alcohol). and possession of a controlled substance – first degree (fentanyl).

Blankenship was arrested and charged with first-degree wanton endangerment, possession of marijuana, drug paraphernalia – purchase/possession, public intoxication – controlled substance (except alcohol), and third-degree possession of a controlled substance – unspecified drug.
