Chris Paul Made a Brave Victor Wembanyama Statement After the Kings-Spurs Match

On Monday evening, the San Antonio Spurs hosted the Sacramento Kings in Texas.

Spurs won 116-96 in their first 11 games and increased the score to 5-6.

Victor Wembanyama scored 34 points, 14 rebounds, 6 assists, one steal and three blocks in 34 minutes of playing time, while shooting 13/22 from the field and 6/12 from three-point range.

After the match, Chris Paul spoke about his new teammate.

Paul (via NBA): “You know how talented you are, but the desire to get better. The desire to work on things. The more games we play, I think we’ll all become more and more familiar with each other.”

Paul had 12 points, 6 rebounds, 11 assists and 2 steals in 30 minutes of playing time, making 5/8 field goals and 2/5 three-pointers.

The future Hall of Famer is a key veteran on a young team trying to get back to the NBA playoffs for the first time in five years.

The Spurs will host Jordan Poole and the Washington Wizards in their next game on Tuesday night in San Antonio.

Last season, they ranked 14th in the Western Conference with a record of 22-60.
