    I am an investor who deals in both long and short bets mostly during the day and occasionally in the short and medium term. In the past my focus has been mostly technology stocks, but over the last few years I have begun to broadly cover the offshore drilling and supply industry as well as the shipping industry in general (tankers, containers, dry bulk). I also follow the nascent fuel cell industry closely.

    I live in Germany and worked as an auditor for PricewaterhouseCoopers for a while before becoming a day trader about 20 years ago. During this time, I managed to successfully maneuver through the aftermath of the dotcom bubble burst, the world trade center attacks, and the subprime crisis.
