Miami-Dade Police are investigating the death of a man who was shot early Monday morning in Florida City, authorities said.

According to police, around 6:30 a.m. Monday morning, a group of people were involved in a dispute that turned physical.

The video appears to show the incident occurring in or around the Budget Host Inn Motel.

Police told NBC6 that during the fight, someone pulled out a firearm and shot a man.

The victim was taken by Miami-Dade firefighters to Jackson Memorial Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead, police said.

The Miami-Dade Police Homicide Unit took over the investigation of this shooting.
