The New London Police Department is investigating a shooting that occurred Friday at a senior living facility in New London, where a resident injured two employees and then killed himself.

The shooting took place in the lobby and office of Windy Acres, a 32-unit 62-and-older facility located in a quiet village 30 miles north of Mansfield.

Police identified the two victims as the office manager and a maintenance worker.

Both victims have since been released from the hospital and are resting at home, New London police said.

According to police, the gunman who shot himself and two employees was identified as 70-year-old Roger Murray, a resident of the complex.

After a preliminary investigation, police said Murray’s motive was because he had requested multiple repairs for his apartment and felt those requests were not being adequately met.

New London police said they were more concerned about the issue because of a pending field investigation.
