CHESTER, S.C. – A 64-year-old man was arrested Thursday in connection with an October shooting in Chester County.

The incident occurred around 3:20 pm on October 9 at a home on Weston Acres Road in Fort Lawn, South Carolina.

When deputies arrived, they found a victim with a gunshot wound. It was learned that the injured person, who was taken to the hospital, was in life-threatening condition.

Following investigation, deputies arrested 64-year-old Steven Rhodes on November 7. He was charged with attempted murder and possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime.

He is being held in the Chester County Detention Center awaiting a bail hearing.
