Here are the Montgomery area’s top performers in the 1st round of the AHSAA and AISA football playoffs.

AHSAA football

Catholic Kingston Front Year Completed 17 of 19 passes for 333 yards and three touchdowns in the victory

Alabama Christian Academy David Ortiz-Ramirez He rushed the ball 27 times for 282 yards and three rushing touchdowns and caught a 13-yard touchdown play in the 46-42 AHSAA 3A 1st round playoff victory over Glenwood. He scored on runs of 39, 40 and 51 yards.

Alabama Christian Academy Christian Snipes He completed 9 of 21 passes for 175 yards and two touchdowns.

Alabama Christian Academy A.C. Walters Scored a touchdown on a 61-yard pass play Christian Snipes and with two rushing scores, both on 1-yard runs. Walters finished the game with five catches for 108 yards.

Montgomery Catholic Josh Harriell He rushed for 118 yards and two touchdowns on eight carries.

Montgomery Catholic Michael Sheffield He scored on two touchdown passes and finished the game with four catches totaling 159 yards.

Including defensive play by Montgomery Catholic Gavin Phelan team-leading seven tackles, one of them for a loss.

Opps Stay Critten He threw two goals in a 49-14 loss to Bibb County in the AHSAA 4A 1st round.

Pike Road Braylon Outlaw In the AHSAA 6A round 1 37-7 victory over Bessemer City, he returned an interception 48 yards for a touchdown and carried the ball nine yards for a rushing touchdown. Defensively, Outlaw had six tackles and two assists with one pass defended and an interception return.

Pike Road Gunner Gibbs passed for a touchdown as it was Jordan Holmes. Mason Hussey, Levi Kelly And Jordan Holmes each scored a goal.

Pike Road bryson brooks saved a mess. Markel Thomas caught a pass and Amari Smith caused an uproar.

AISA

Lowndes Academy huston hampton He opened the game with a 54-yard touchdown run in the first quarter, then scored two more touchdowns with a 47-yard run in the second quarter and an 18-yard carry in the third quarter in a 47–0 victory over Jackson Academy.

Lowndes Academy Crawford Dansby He scored two touchdowns on an 11-yard pass play by Braydn Stokes and an 8-yard run.
