Earlier this year, Barron turned down the chance to serve as a delegate on behalf of his father to the Republican National Convention, according to his mother’s office.

As a delegate, Barron would have to stand on the convention floor and join the Florida delegation to officially nominate his father.

It’s unclear whether Barron will play an official role in Trump’s second presidency.

Trump gave various jobs to family members during his first term, including giving senior advisory roles to his daughter Ivanka and son-in-law Jared Kushner.
