Country music legend says he’ll probably die at 91

No doubt Willie Nelson is a living legend, but the thing about being a legend is that the title usually means you’ve been around for a while.

And he’s 91 years old, so… Nelson has actually been around for a while. And he may not be around for very long, at that point in life, where history tells us everything. Nelson is well aware of this, but what does he think about it?

“I’m not worried about it,” he told The Associated Press recently. “I don’t feel bad. No part of me hurts. I have no reason to worry about dying. But I don’t know anyone who has lived forever.”

According to Nelson, this is a pretty firm and gentle approach to the inevitable. There’s probably a good reason for this.

Anyway, According to Parade MagazineNelson is about to release his 76th solo studio album. And according to the site, he has released a total of 153 albums throughout his incredible career.

Nelson, of course, missed a few concert dates earlier this year due to illness, but it looks like he’s feeling good these days.

“I take pretty good care of myself,” he said. “I feel like I’m in pretty good shape physically. Mentally? That’s another story.”

So what will happen when his time comes?

“I had a good time,” Nelson said. “So I did what I came here to do: make music.”
