GRAND TRAVERSE COUNTY, Mich., (WPBN/WGTU) — Democratic Vice Presidential Candidate Tim Walz is expected to campaign in Traverse City on Friday.

According to the Traverse City Police Department, the portion of State Street between Boardman Avenue and Park Avenue will be closed Friday from 2:30 to 9 p.m. Police said parking will not be allowed and anyone who does will be towed.

The Minnesota governor will speak in Traverse City at 6:30 p.m., after attending rallies in Detroit at 1:30 p.m. and in Flint at 3:30 p.m.

According to TCPD, parking at the Larry C. Hardy Parking Structure will be accessible from the Front Street entrance, and access will be available to all businesses and homes.
