Speaking at a church in Philadelphia on Sunday morning, Harris tried to explain the contrast facing voters without naming her opponent.

“What kind of country do we want to live in?” he asked the congregation. “What kind of country do we want for our children and grandchildren? A country of chaos, faith, fear and hatred, or a country of freedom, justice and compassion?”

Harris quoted Scripture to discuss the “hard” work that would need to be done over the next nine days and the “joy” that would follow.

“The next nine days will test us. They will demand everything we have. But when I think about the days ahead and the God we serve, I am confident that His power will work through us because I know that we were born as a church for a time like this and that He will lead us forward.” I believe you will carry it.

“And the road ahead will not be easy. It will require perseverance and hard work. But in times of uncertainty, Scripture reminds us that weeping may last a night, but joy comes in the morning. The road may seem hard, The work may seem heavy, but joy comes in the morning, and church morning is on the way,” he said.

The vice president offered a unifying message, saying: “This moment in our country should be about much more than partisan politics. It should be about the good work we can do together, our core values, and who we are as Americans.” and right now, as people of faith in Pennsylvania, each of us has an opportunity to make a difference.”

“In just nine days, we have the power to determine the destiny of our nation for generations to come. And on this day, on this beautiful Sunday morning, I am reminded that God expects us to help him. We have work to do.” ” said Harris.
