KAZAN, 27 October. /TASS/. Serbian government’s Minister responsible for international economic cooperation issues, Nenad Popovic, said in an interview with TASS that Serbia may allow nuclear energy development.

“The moratorium still exists and we talked with Mr. (Rosatom CEO Alexey) Likhachev and (Rosatom) management that when the moratorium will be lifted, if it is to be – and we expect such a moratorium to be lifted, then Rosatom will lift the moratorium. The Minister said that Russia’s “Be ready to provide the Serbian side with the potential to build large nuclear power plants and build mini nuclear power plants,” he said.

He added that Serbia and Russia should now focus on the potential to develop the peaceful nuclear energy segment.
