“A lot of people ask me why I left the Democratic Party, and I say, ‘I didn’t leave the Democratic Party, the Democratic Party abandoned me,'” Kennedy said to thunderous applause.

“This is no longer the party of Martin Luther King, Robert Kennedy or John Kennedy. “It was the party of peace.”
