Matthew Perry’s Pacific Palisades mansion sold for $8.5 million, one year after his tragic ketamine death

Matthew Perry’s former home in Pacific Palisades sold for $8.55 million in an off-market deal, a year after his tragic death.

Almost exactly a year after the Friends star was found dead in the home’s hot tub on October 28, 2023, at just 54 years old, the Friends star’s 3,500-square-foot mansion has been purchased by film producer and real estate developer Anita Verma-Lallian. It is headquartered in Scottsdale, Arizona.

According to the Los Angeles Times, Verma-Lallian plans to use the property as a ‘vacation home’.

Perry bought the four-bedroom house for $6 million in 2020.

The Fools Rush In actor sold a mansion in Malibu and a luxury penthouse in Century City before purchasing his latest home.

Before his death, Perry frequently shared photos of his home, pool, and garden, revealing that he was a huge fan of Batman, as the caped crusader’s artwork was prominently displayed in his home.

In fact, his last Instagram post was a photo of him enjoying the hot tub he died in, with the city lights twinkling behind him.

His death was ruled accidental due to the acute effects of ketamine. Buprenorphine, which is often used to treat opioid addiction, was also found in his system.

Contributing factors to his death were stated to be drowning and coronary artery disease.

The 3,000-square-foot property on Blue Sail Drive was built in 1965 as a modest ranch-style home.

It has since undergone extensive transformation, with Perry putting his own personal stamp on the expanding notebook.

She completely renovated the property, swapping light oak floors for darker wood and boho furniture for brighter colours.

The stunning four-bedroom, four-and-a-half-bathroom home is perched on a hillside overlooking the ocean, and many of the rooms have panoramic Pacific views.

The 3,500-square-foot mansion was purchased by Anita Verma-Lallian, a filmmaker and real estate developer who lives in Scottsdale, Arizona.

On Monday, October 28, Perry’s mother Suzanne Morrison and stepfather Keith Morrison will discuss the actor’s final days with Savannah Guthrie on the Today Show to mark one year since his death.

In a teaser clip shown on Friday, Suzanne, 81, said Perry showed her “one of his new homes” and then said: “He came up to me and said: ‘I love you so much and I’m so happy to be with you now’.”

‘It was like a premonition of something. I didn’t think about it at the time, but I thought: How long has it been since I talked like that? “It’s been years.”

‘I think there was something… there was an inevitability of what was going to happen next to him, and he felt it very strongly. But he said, “I’m not afraid anymore.” And that worried me.
