I don’t follow Cenk Uygur closely. He is a middle-aged, progressive media personality who hosts a popular YouTube show, occasionally runs for office, and generally disparages the main body of the Democratic party.

These are all markers of a particular genre.

Yesterday, Uygur had nice words about Elon Musk.

What a wonderful thing to say.

First, what can Uyghur’s past bring to him? any Insight into “hacking the Pentagon”? The man has a law degree but doesn’t appear to have practiced much law. He ran several unsuccessful political campaigns. He has spent most of his career in radio, cable TV and broadcast media.

“Pentagon” (in this case the acronym for the entire Department of Defense) is an operation that employs approximately 3 million people. He runs not only a massive HR operation, but also the longest logistics train on the planet. The preparation time for planning weapon systems ranges from years to decades.

And every decision must be made taking into account the latest technology that is constantly evolving on the battlefield.

Can you imagine the arrogance, stupidity, and sheer entitlement of a content creator in his fifties who thought he should be “responsible for hacking the Pentagon?”
