Chinese discount e-commerce company Temu is the most popular online shopping choice for people over 50, according to a survey conducted for courier firm PostNord.

In the research, the shopping of approximately 1000 people aged between 18 and 79 in September and October were compared. In addition to Finland, the survey was also conducted in Sweden, Norway and Denmark.

The previous survey was conducted in the spring.

The survey shows that Temu is Finland’s most popular online store among people living in rural areas. This phenomenon has also been seen elsewhere in the Scandinavians.

Approximately 34 percent of people living in rural areas in Finland had purchased products from Temu in the last three months. Among those living in urban areas, this rate varies between 23 and 29 percent.

Most Finns bought products online from retailers abroad last year, according to the survey.

The most popular retailers, in order of popularity, are Zalando, Temu and Amazon.
