A 31-year-old Penetanguishene man faces impaired driving charges following a crash that closed a section of Highway 12 in the Midland area overnight.

Ontario Provincial Police say an eastbound minivan crashed into a parked OPP cruiser near Old Fort Road.

Both passengers have minor injuries.

In the photos shared by the police on social media, the minibus can be seen lying on its side.

The highway has reopened after being closed between Wye Valley Road and the Old Fort off-ramp for approximately six hours.
