Watch Fire Country’s Leven Rambin and Billy Burke perform Miranda Lambert’s “Vice”!

Land of Fire Season 3, episode 5 was an episode full of “Edgewater Is About to Get Really Comfortable.” It featured the debut of Jared Padalecki as Camden Casey, Bode Leone, and Audrey James’ new instructor for phase 3 of the student program. There was also a plane crash that left around 200 people stranded in the town and needing shelter. Station 42 and Smokey’s Tavern served as temporary shelter until the next flight.

The episode featured firefighting drama where Camden broke protocol by allowing Bode to put out the fire in the plane’s cockpit while standing on top of said plane, romantic tension with Gabriela acting out and trying to use Bode as a distraction, and a family reconciliation between her and Eve . brother Elijah and an answer to whether Sharon’s body rejected his transplant (it didn’t!).

There was even a musical performance of “Edgewater Is About to Get Really Cozy”; It was a performance I had personally been anticipating since Leven Rambin was cast as Audrey, and the character’s description spoke of her musical talents. During the episode, Camden mentioned that the student was majoring in Music, and we saw her talent on full display in the last few minutes when Audrey took the stage to sing “Vice” by Miranda Lambert. He was accompanied by Vince Leone on guitar and backing vocals.

Fingers crossed Billy Burke and Rambin are reuniting because their cover of this country music song was perfect. Check out the extended version below:

“Evil” is accepting one’s own destructive behavior and being unable to avoid making the same choice over and over again. It’s clear why the song would resonate with Audrey. The same goes for Bode, who misses a text from Gabriela asking him to come to the Airstream instead of accepting her invitation to join him at Smokey’s.

Like Audrey, Bode is trying to stay on a better path for himself. He tries not to be careless and to make good decisions. Considering Diego’s friends wanted to fight him, this episode was difficult because Gabriela’s ex left town because she couldn’t let Bode go. But Camden stepped in to help. However, the student instructor also encouraged him to take risks in his job, citing the tragedy of losing his entire team to support his claim that the person in charge is not always right about what risks are worth taking.

Later, in the midst of the crisis, Gabriela, who was trying to get by by placing the plane crash survivors in Station 42 and Smokey’s, tried to get Bode back to the Airstream because he was on the bench and wanted to blow off some steam. Bode, who was trying to keep his head up and maintain his relationship with Gabriela, seemed to be scattered in different directions. But listening to Audrey and Vince sing was a moment of calm; As always, it’s a moment we can all enjoy before another crisis hits Edgwater.
