The CMA Awards will be on ABC on Wednesday and it’ll be another big night for Lainey Wilson.

One year after the “Heart Like a Truck” singer won Entertainer of the Year at the CMA Awards, she will hosting He will make his first appearance on the show this year, joining the familiar team of Luke Bryan and Peyton Manning as the third co-host.

“I am excited!” Wilson told On the Red Carpet. “So even as a little girl it was like a big family event for us, like watching the CMAs. So we looked forward to it… We’d watch the rodeo or we’d watch the Country Music Awards!”

Luke Bryan, who is hosting the awards for the fourth time, is also excited to have Lainey join the fun.

“I think Lainey has the personality to mingle between me and Peyton,” Bryan told On The Red Carpet. “And we’ll have to see what kind of alcoholic beverages Lainey prefers halfway through the show.”

Not only is Wilson hosting the ceremony, but he also has a chance to win the night’s biggest award back to back.

“It would be pretty crazy if we were entertainer (of the year) two years in a row,” he said. “I think this would mean a lot to girls in country music.”

Other Entertainer of the Year nominees are Luke Combs, Jelly Roll, Chris Stapleton and Morgan Wallen, with a total of seven CMA Award nominations this year, the most of any artist.
