GEORGETOWN COUNTY, S.C. (WMBF) – A Georgetown County man has been arrested in connection with a shooting that occurred Wednesday evening.

Quamae Rashaad Singleton, 18, was arrested at his home after witnesses identified him as a shooter responsible for property damage, the Georgetown County Sheriff’s Office said.

The shooting occurred in the area of ​​Nushell Street and Mercer Boulevard. Deputies found bullet casings at the scene and a house with a bullet hole in the exterior.

There were no injuries.

After obtaining a search warrant, officers searched Singleton’s home and found a handgun and four grams of cocaine in his bedroom.

He is charged with discharging a firearm into a dwelling, felony breach of peace and possession with intent to distribute cocaine.

He is being held in the Georgetown County Detention Center, awaiting service of the arrest warrant and a bail hearing.
