As the only level one trauma center in the region, tower There will be five trauma bays, including a separate trauma bay for children.

While the existing helipad will still be used, the new helipad will be in a more convenient location, just steps away from where critically injured or ill patients need to go.

The tower will also feature larger patient, waiting and operating rooms, as well as a new car park with 500 extra parking spaces.

The Emergency Department will open in spring 2025, and the entire tower will open that summer.
