This familiar red sign is disappearing from more and more Milwaukee neighborhoods.

walgreens is closing its fifth Milwaukee store in the city in two years.

The latest to close is next to Timmerman Airport at the intersection of N. 91st Street and W. Appleton Avenue. There is a pharmacy inside.

The last store to be closed is 5201 N. 91st St.It was built in 1997, according to city assessment records. The 1.42-acre property and 13,905-square-foot building are assessed at $2.04 million; That’s well below the $5.7 million it sold for in 2014.
