A 12-year-old girl has been arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm following reports of an attack with scissors.

West Mercia Police said they were called to Newport Girls’ High School in Shropshire at 2.25pm ​​on Friday.

It was stated that the adult victim was slightly injured in the incident.

The boy was later released on bail.
