LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) – Louisville police arrested a man in connection with a homicide that occurred May 4 in the Shelby Park neighborhood.

Eliyahu Perkins, 30, was arrested on Monday, November 11, and charged with the murder of 29-year-old Jeffery Wilson.

Wilson was found dead in the 1300 block of Preston Street on Kentucky Derby day.

Perkins is currently being held at the Louisville Metro Jail.
