PEARL CITY(HawaiiNewsNow) – Honolulu police say a 26-year-old man was arrested for allegedly attacking his 61-year-old father with a knife in Pearl City.

The incident took place around 6 p.m. at 1060 Kamehameha Highway, the address of Century Park Plaza.

The victim suffered multiple injuries and was taken to a nearby hospital in serious condition, authorities said.

The suspect is being held in custody pending investigation.

The reason for the attack remains unclear at this time.

The attempted murder investigation continues.
