There’s nothing better than a free game to play heading into the weekend, and luckily Prime Gaming has you covered. If you’re an Amazon Prime member, you’re eligible for a wide range of video games at no additional cost. Keys are available for various platforms depending on the game and are yours forever; which means if you can’t pick them up when they appear, you’re really missing out.

I think Prime Gaming is definitely one of the most underrated games Amazon Prime privileges. Everyone loves Prime Delivery and Prime Minister Videobut many people don’t realize that great games are also included. The games on offer rotate throughout the month, making it worth checking back from time to time to see what you’re up to.

The current selection is one of the best I’ve seen in recent weeks, with many strong options like: Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy, A Plague Tale: Innocence, And Close to the Sun. However, I would like to draw special attention to two games that are among my favorite games of all time. Of course, you’ll need an Amazon Prime membership to claim these. Luckily, new members can take advantage of the free trial below; Note that if you choose to continue your subscription it will cost $9.99 / £8.99 per month.

Something for everyone

The current stars of the show for me are Dishonored: Definitive Edition And Mafia: Definitive Edition. Dishonored: Definitive Edition It is an absolute masterpiece and was critically acclaimed when it was first published in 2013. In the devastated fictional city of Dunwall, you play as the disgraced (or perhaps… dishonored) Corvo Atono, the queen’s former bodyguard. He is now accused of her murder.

Armed with an arsenal of supernatural powers, you kill key figures in the sinister conspiracy that has turned your life upside down. The levels are huge and designed with multiple playthroughs in mind, making them a real treat for completionists. You’re free to approach them however you wish, whether it’s extreme violence or quiet stealth. Remember that running around, throwing guards off ledges, and decapitating them, as fun as it is, has narrative consequences. This complete edition of the game comes with all its downloadable content (DLC), including a comprehensive expansion that sets the stage for the sequel. Dishonored 2.

Mafia: Definitive Edition then it is a remake of the original 2002 Mafia game. It features incredible visuals, with a gorgeous 1930s city to explore and a fantastical narrative that feels like something out of a classic crime movie. The entire game is completely immersive from start to finish, and it’s a game that I enjoy replaying several times on each difficulty option – even if that famously challenging racing mission in the original is still borderline impossible in ‘Classic’ mode.

But it’s not just two games on offer, so here are some other quick recommendations for a few games I haven’t mentioned so far but are still worth trying.

  • A Plague Story: Innocence

  • BioShock Remastered

  • Killing Floor 2

  • Gunk

  • Kerbal Space Program

  • Borderland 2

  • Doomsday Eternal

  • En Garde!

There are so many games to choose from that, honestly, you could build a pretty interesting game library from those selections alone. Full instructions on how to redeem copies of each game are provided when you log in to Prime Gaming and request them.
