SPARTANBURG, SC (FOX Carolina) – The Spartanburg Police Department says one person was injured in a stabbing Thursday night.

Officers were called to Canaan Pointe Apartments shortly before 5 p.m., where they found a victim with multiple cuts to his torso. He was taken to the hospital for medical treatment.

A witness told police a fight broke out between the victim and another man. It was stated that the knife used in the attack was thrown near the playground, but police officers and K-9s were unable to locate it in the area.

Police charged Kaleb Murphy with attempted murder. He was sent to the Spartanburg County Detention Center.
