TOLEDO, Ohio (WTVG) – Officers TPD Suspected attacker arrested in an operation Murder at a Toledo restaurant in September.

Officers arrested 27-year-old Deonta Mitchell on Wednesday on charges of aggravated assault and murder. Another man who police allege acted as the getaway driver arrested on the same charges and he did not admit his guilt.

According to police, Isiah Pressley was among a crowd at a restaurant on Detroit Avenue on Sept. 14 when gunshots rang out. The person, who was hit in the face, died in the hospital where he was taken. 13 Action News spoke to his mother, who said that senseless violence must end.

Police allege that the driver who helped the attacker was Smith. They say he picked up Mitchell after an argument at the restaurant. After driving around the block, he parked just north of the bar and Mitchell allegedly got out and attacked Pressley, firing multiple shots into the crowd.

The duo then fled the scene in their black Dodge Charger.

Mitchell is expected to appear in court later this morning.
