For Trump, it was a compelling visual: thousands of supporters filling an iconic arena just days before the presidential election.

Perhaps it was not beside the point that only a few of the die-hard supporters at Madison Square Garden were able to cast a meaningful vote for Trump. That’s what mattered.

“This is not where Republicans should be coming,” shouted former New York City mayor Rudy Giuliani, who was ordered by a judge on Tuesday to surrender his Manhattan penthouse and other belongings to two Georgia election workers he defamed in 2020. Why did Donald Trump come here?”

This was not the first time such an exaggerated statement was made in this campaign. In a race defined by fierce competition for a handful of battleground states, Trump has routinely ignored political logic by campaigning in states like New York, California and Colorado where Harris is expected to win easily.

Superstar Bad Bunny showed his support for Vice President Kamala Harris on social media Sunday after a comedian made rude and racist jokes at Donald Trump’s Madison Square Garden rally, including calling Puerto Rico a “floating island of garbage.”

The Puerto Rican recording artist shared a video of Harris on his account. Instagram accountA site with more than 45 million followers.

“There is a lot at stake in this election for Puerto Rican voters and for Puerto Rico,” Harris said in the video. “And this election isn’t just between Donald Trump and me. “This is a choice between two very different visions for our nation.”

Bad Bunny shared the video after comedian Tony Hinchcliffe called Puerto Rico “an island of garbage floating in the middle of the ocean” and said Latino people “love to make babies.” Hinchcliffe’s routine at the Trump rally also included obscene and racist comments about Jews and Black Americans.

Biden stopped by a breakfast spot near the home of a longtime ally running to represent Delaware in the U.S. Senate outside Wilmington, Delaware.

Chairman and Representative Lisa Blunt went to The Legend Restaurant & Bakery in Rochester, New Castle. Blunt Rochester, who has served as Delaware’s sole member of the House of Representatives since 2017, is seeking to become the first Black woman elected to represent Delaware in the U.S. Senate.

Biden formally endorsed Blunt Rochester in a video released Sunday evening by the lawmaker’s campaign. He is preparing to cast his early ballot later Monday before returning to Washington.

While Trump continued to attack Harris with deeply personal insults, he also suggested she take a cognitive test.

In an interview with CBS News, Harris said “confident” when asked if she would take such a test.

“I would challenge him to get the same,” Harris said. “I think he’s actually becoming more and more erratic and erratic and resorting to name-calling because he doesn’t actually have a plan for the American people.”

It’s the same phrase Trump used when questions swirled about the 81-year-old’s age and mental acuity following his disastrous debate performance in June, when Biden was still running for president.

Trump is 78 years old and is currently the oldest candidate running for office.

Biden plans to hold early voting on Monday near his home outside Wilmington, Delaware, according to the White House.

Since 1970, Biden has held office or remained a candidate for only a handful of years during the election season. But this year, their hopes are with a new generation of Democrats, including three who want to make history in Delaware elections.

Harris says she has three immediate legislative priorities when she takes office if elected president.

In an interview with CBS News, Harris said her first priority will be reducing costs for Americans with an expanded child tax credit and efforts to lower food costs and make housing more affordable. The second will be to work to restore protections for abortion rights, and the third will be to work to pass the border security bill.

It is still unclear how Iran will respond to Israel’s unusual public airstrikes across Iran on Friday. The answer could determine whether the region is heading towards all-out war or whether it is steadily maintaining an already destructive and destabilizing level of violence.

2. Will Harris’ closing message assuage Democrats’ concerns?

Harris will try to ease Democrats’ anxiety by delivering her “closing argument” on Tuesday at the Ellipse, the spot where Trump spoke near the White House shortly before his supporters stormed the Capitol.

3. Can Trump stay on message (relatively speaking)?

And with eight days until Election Day, history suggests it’s almost guaranteed that Trump will say or do something else controversial in the final stretch. The only question is whether this will pass.

4. Where will they go?

The candidates’ evolving travel schedules will tell us a lot about the key battlegrounds on Election Day.

5. Will the increase in early voting continue?

More than 41 million votes have already been cast in elections across the country. Democrats have an advantage in early voting overall, but at least so far Republicans are voting at much higher rates than in the past.

6. How hard will Trump work to undermine the election results?

History may one day decide that the most important thing Trump said in the closing days of the 2024 election was what many voters now barely notice: His persistent warnings that this election was rigged against him.
