Elmore wholeheartedly disputes the letter’s characterization, claiming in an interview with Fox News Digital that “every success I’ve had in this life and everything I’ve done is because of Donald Trump.”

He joined the show in 2006 as a 26-year-old fresh out of law school, continuing almost until season 3.

“Yes, I heard the words ‘you’re fired’. But years later I was rehired for the campaign,” Elmore said in an interview with Fox News Digital. “But before we get into that, you know, Donald Trump was someone who saw an ambitious young man; He gave me every opportunity in the world. After I left the show, he asked me, ‘What do you want to do?’ he asked. And I said, ‘I want to go into journalism.’ And he wrote me a letter of recommendation and gave me a file of people I could contact. “This is your responsibility,” he said. It is your duty to do this.”

Elmore found a job in the news media after the show in Jacksonville, Florida, before working at QVC. Donald Trump says everything changed in 2015 when he stepped down that escalator for the first time and threw his hat in the ring for commander in chief.

“I was there for about a decade and was very comfortable,” Elmore told Fox News Digital. “I had gotten married. I had a child. Congratulations.’ So our paths were always connected.”

He says he finds it “sad” that other “The Apprentice” alums didn’t see the character he saw in former President Trump.

“You not only got exposure to the American platform, you had everyone in America watching you,” Elmore told Fox News Digital. “But Donald Trump gave us the opportunity to meet industry giants, business leaders and CEOs; the networking opportunities were absolutely brilliant.”

“And I don’t know how anyone can say they haven’t had all the opportunities in the world. Yeah, I approached Donald Trump after I was on the show and I said, ‘Can you write me a letter of recommendation?’ I said, ‘Can you help me with some job opportunities?’ But you know, that’s the way the world works, we have to stand up for ourselves and be successful, and the fact that these people can’t see what the show has done for them is heartbreaking and says more about them than it does about us,” Elmore added.

As for what awaits us after next week? presidential electionElmore said he plans to focus primarily on his family, including his son’s student council campaign.

“We’re all scared. We’re all emotional. But the most important thing to me is being a good wife and mother,” Elmore said. “I’ve been in this game a long time and I know a lot of people want great things. I think what I’m going to do is run my son’s student council campaign because I know exactly what to do in politics.”
