A Camdenton man who suffered a non-life-threatening injury after being shot by a Camden County deputy during a disturbance late last week has now been charged in connection with an earlier incident at the same residence.

A probable cause statement alleges it happened late on the night of October 10^ThisMatthew MacDonald, 28, barricaded himself inside the home at 95 Third Avenue, where at least one shot was fired.

A deputy was allowed into the home, and a short time later another officer helped handcuff MacDonald, who continued to resist and was held involuntarily for 96 hours before being transported to the hospital.

Matthews is now charged with unlawful use of a weapon, unlawful possession of a loaded firearm and armed criminal action in connection with the previous incident.

After MacDonald is released from the hospital, he is expected to be taken to the Camden County Jail and held without bail. Other charges are possible after the officer-involved incident.
