At the end of Only Murders in the Building Season 4, Oliver and Mable are asked to find a missing man moments before finding Arconia’s doorman dead in the fountain in their courtyard.

Sofia Caccimelio links back to something briefly mentioned in the penultimate episode of Season 4 via a storyline on TV.

Only Murders creator John Hoffman told Deadline says: “That’s an extension of the little tidbit from Episode 9 that Mabel noted at the hospital. (Sofia) is the wife of Brooklyn’s Dry Cleaning King, and maybe she owns a few dry cleaning stores in Manhattan too, we might find out.

“But beyond that, there’s a world potentially opening up in New York that we haven’t talked too much about yet, so it has a lot of intrigue in it.”

Hoffman also says it may have something to do with Oliver’s trouble getting financing for his shows. “There may be some crossover in that direction,” he says. “There may be some potential dangers in helping.”

Who dies at the end of Season 4?

That should be enough to get things rolling in Season 5, but there’s only one twist left that the trio came up with Their doorman Lester died in the building’s fountain.

As they celebrate that no one died on Oliver’s wedding day, they see Lester sitting in water that has turned red from his blood.

This seems logical, as Sofia says she was able to enter the building unannounced because no one was at the door. This means Season 5 will have twin mysteries for the Odd Murders gang to investigate: the whereabouts of Nicky Caccimelio and the death of Doorman Lester.
