17 people were injured when two double-decker buses collided in Manchester.

The buses collided on Rochdale Road in the city at 8.34am this morning.

North West Ambulance Service said nine ambulances, an air ambulance, two response vehicles and an advanced paramedic were sent to the scene, along with an operations commander.

The statement stated that 17 injured people were taken to hospitals around Manchester, but no one was seriously injured.
