Baldwin County SO arrests man in connection with Seminole shooting

SEMINOLA, Ala. (WALA) – A Seminole man is behind bars after Baldwin County sheriff’s investigators say he shot a man during a dispute over money.

The attack happened this morning at a home on Wayburn Road. Deputies found the victim in the front yard with a gunshot wound to the abdomen.

Investigators said Jason Hall admitted to shooting the man after they got into an argument about money in the front yard.

The injured person was taken to hospital for treatment.

Hall surrendered to deputies when he arrived, according to authorities. Hall was questioned by deputies and later arrested. Investigators say the victim was trying to collect a debt.

Hall is charged with first-degree assault with bail set at $10,000. But he is not being held on any bail on unrelated charges. BCSO said he had outstanding warrants for failure to appear in court on charges of possession of an altered firearm, possession of drug paraphernalia and unlawful possession of a controlled substance.

Hall is expected to appear at his first hearing tomorrow.
