AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) – A 19-year-old teenager was arrested in connection with the incident Armed attack in which 2 people were injured in March.

Javon Ernest Doe was arrested Thursday, according to Richmond County jail records.

Doe is charged with two counts of aggravated assault, cruelty to children in the first degree, criminal damage to property in the first degree and possession of a firearm during a crime, according to jail records.

According to deputies, the incident occurred on March 9 around 11:30 p.m. in the 3000 block of Barbara Road.

The victim said Doe broke his mother’s television, which led to a physical fight. At some point during the argument, Doe began firing a gun, deputies reported.

One person was trapped in the mouth and another was shot in the hip before Doe escaped, according to authorities.
