Door County Sheriff’s Office identifies Sturgeon Bay man killed in WIS 42 crash

EGG HARBOR, Wis. (WFRV) – Lawmakers provided an update Wednesday morning Fatal accident on WIS 42The 64-year-old man who died in a collision with an SUV has been identified.

according to Door County Sheriff’s OfficeDeputies say the dead Sturgeon Bay man, 64, was identified as Glen Reimer.

Multiple agencies were called to a two-vehicle crash on WIS 42 in Egg Harbor near Sunny Point Road around 10:35 a.m. on Nov. 20.

Deputies said an initial investigation showed a minivan driven by Reimer was traveling southbound on WIS 42 when he reportedly crossed the center line and struck a northbound SUV.

Reimer was taken to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Deputies say an autopsy was performed at the Brown County Medical Examiner’s Office on November 21, and the results of the autopsy are still awaited.

This incident remains under investigation and no other information is being released at this time.
