Four people were injured and taken to hospital in an accident that occurred on Wednesday evening

Following the collision that occurred in the evening on Georgetown Road, one person suffered life-threatening injuries and three people suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

According to the Lexington Police statement, police officers were dispatched to the area at 17.36 due to a collision involving a pickup truck and a white passenger vehicle.

All four people transported to the hospital were passengers of the white passenger vehicle. Two of these four people are children and neither of them are in a life-threatening situation.

The driver of the pickup truck did not suffer any injuries.

The collision is under investigation.

Update: November 20, 18:49

Georgetown Road is now closed in both directions between Sandersville Road and Citation Boulevard. According to lexwrecks on the X, incoming traffic is being directed to Citation Boulevard and outbound traffic is being directed to Sandersville Road.
