star of Peaky Blinder Cillian Murphy A moment of silence was paid to the memory of the show’s famous costume designer, Stephanie Collie, who passed away at the age of 60.

The official BBC show’s Instagram account announced the news to fans, honoring Collie’s significant contribution to the series’ iconic style.

The following statements were used in the statement: “We are very saddened to learn that costume designer Stephanie Collie has passed away.

“Stephanie’s incredible work on our first range was key to creating the iconic look. Summit Blindersand continued to inspire many people around the world.

“Our love and thoughts are with his family.”

Murphy, who plays Tommy Shelby in Peaky Blinders, released a heartfelt statement acknowledging Collie’s profound impact on the series.

The Oscar winner, who is currently filming Peaky Blinders, wrote: “Stephanie was a wild talent. He invented the Peaky Blinders look and silhouette that has become iconic around the world.

“We will all miss him. RIP.”

Collie passed away at St Christopher’s Hospice in South London on October 26, six months after being diagnosed with terminal cancer.

He was born on 16 November 1963 in Warrington, Cheshire, and played a key role in shaping the iconic Peaky Blinders style, influencing global fashion trends.

His impressive career has also included work in notable productions such as Layer Cake, London Has Fallen, The Hitman’s Bodyguard and My Lady Jane.

Collie collaborated with famous actors such as Samuel L. Jackson, Keira Knightley, Gary Oldman. Ryan ReynoldsMichelle Williams and Henry Cavill.

He was awarded the Royal Television Society Award for Best Costume Design for his work on the first series of Peaky Blinders.

Following Murphy’s tribute, Deadpool star Ryan Reynolds said he was “deeply saddened” to hear of Collie’s death.

He wrote: “He was an accomplished and talented designer; But the world also lost two valuable natural resources: his wry wit and sharp observational humor.

“I offer my condolences to his family, colleagues and everyone who knew him. Rest well, Stephanie.”

James Bond star Daniel Craig wrote: “Stephanie was responsible for the look and feel of Layer Cake. It was a pleasure working with him and he will be greatly missed. My heart goes out to his family and friends.”

“Stephanie was the fuel for my characters. It’s an extremely enjoyable and collaborative part of my process. I will miss him, that is an understatement,” wrote Samuel L. Jackson.

Collie’s husband, cinematographer Hubert Taczanowski, passed away in June of this year. He is survived by his three siblings, Fiona, Alison and Nicola, as well as nieces, nephews and Taczanowski’s stepdaughter Julia from a previous marriage.
