Big Lots is revising its Chapter 11 bankruptcy plans, changing the status of some store closures and announcing new closures. Initially, the retailer planned to close approximately 550 stores after filing for bankruptcy, with over 240 store closures completed by mid-October. However, recent updates show that some stores previously marked for closure have reopened their operations, while others have returned to a closed status.

The company recently announced plans to close 19 additional locations in nine states, primarily in the West. Despite these challenges, Big Lots is preparing for the holiday season, introducing “Black Fridays” and launching a new shopping app.

As of November 19, more than 270 stores have been closed, while the closure process of more than 200 stores continues. Customers can check the availability of specific stores using the company’s online store locator.
