An Elgin teenager has been charged with the attempted murder of a 15-year-old boy.

Police have confirmed that a 16-year-old male has been arrested and charged in connection with an attempted murder in the High Street on Saturday, November 16.

He is due to appear at Elgin Sheriff Court on Tuesday, November 19.

A statement from Police Scotland said: “A 16-year-old male youth has been arrested and charged in connection with the attempted murder of a 15-year-old boy in High Street, Elgin, on Saturday, 16 November 2024.

“He will appear at Elgin Sheriff Court on Tuesday, November 19, 2024.

“A report will be submitted to Mr. Finance”
