Watch worker find nine puppies in Las Vegas dumpster

LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – FOX5 has obtained video showing a worker finding nine puppies in a Las Vegas dumpster.

These are clips you’ll only see on FOX5.

FOX5 obtained video showing a worker finding puppies in a Las Vegas dumpster.

On Thursday, the Animal Foundation said they were looking into the matter eight cubs It was found in a garbage container inside a garbage bag.

The Las Vegas shelter says the pups were rescued by a Good Samaritan and they are safe at the shelter.

Unfortunately, one of the puppies had to be euthanized due to blood on his chest. The puppies were found in a garbage bag with cleaning product.

The foundation says they are working to find out the effects of the product on puppies.

“These are tiny, defenseless puppies with their eyes barely open, and someone chose to throw them away like trash,” the Animal Foundation said. “They now have a new beginning, thanks to the hero who heard their screams. Puppies are very susceptible to diseases due to their young age. “Ideally, they will move into a foster home that will give them the best chance of thriving outside of the shelter environment.”

The shelter said the person accused of abandoning the dogs was in custody. The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department confirmed the suspect was Michael Grindrod.

The City of Las Vegas Animal Protection Services said they responded to a call on Nov. 5 that a tenant had been evicted and placed the puppies in a dumpster in the 5800 block of West Charleston near Jones.

The city said a maintenance worker was at the scene.

“Upon arrival, the officer contacted front desk/management staff who had five puppies,” the city said. “They found the puppies in the dumpster. The maintenance worker and rental agent at the property reported that a tenant who had been evicted earlier in the day had a dog with newborn puppies.

The city officer contacted LVMPD, who contacted the tenant.

The clips after the dumpster video are footage of the puppies before they were thrown away. FOX5 continues to work with the woman who sent the videos.
