Heads are cut off, body parts are on the way; How did 6 friends of Dehradun die in car accident?

Six people lost their lives in a horrific car accident that occurred in Dehradun, the capital of Uttarakhand, earlier this week. The seven-member group was returning from a party in a Toyota Innova when it crashed into a truck at ONGC Chowk around 1.30am on November 12. Due to the impact, their vehicle turned into a pile of shattered metal and six people died at the scene. The seventh friend survived but is in critical condition.

A disturbing video showing the aftermath of the accident is circulating on social media. One victim was decapitated in the collision, while others were seen with some body parts scattered along the road. A body was seen twisted inside the car.

Kunal Kukreja (23), Atul Agrawal (24), Rishabh Jain (24), Navya Goel (23), Kamakshi (20) and Guneet (19) died in the accident. Sidhesh Agrawal (25) survived and is currently in hospital. Except Kukreja, all of them were residents of Dehradun.

According to reports, Sidhesh threw a party to celebrate buying his new car.

“As the driver of the MUV, who was the owner of the vehicle, did not survive, we are looking for legal alternatives as no charges can be filed after his death,” Inspector KC Bhatt of Cantt police station was quoted as saying in a statement to the media.

He stated that, according to preliminary findings, the main cause of the accident was excessive speed. The car was traveling at 100 kilometers per hour before hitting the truck.

According to The Times Of India, CCTV footage shows that the accident occurred when the Innova tried to overtake a luxury car and increased its speed. The car had no license plate. It took sharp acceleration at ONGC Chowk before it hit the left rear of the truck.

Videos of the victims drinking at a party before the crash also went viral, but these have not yet been verified.
