WASHINGTON (7News) — A man was killed in a Saturday evening shooting at Rock Creek Cemetery in Northwest DC, according to the Metropolitan Police Department (MPD).

Police said they responded to reports of a shooting near the 5000 block of Northwest 1st Street. When police arrived at the scene, they found a man suffering from a gunshot wound.

MPD said he was pronounced dead at the scene. Police have confirmed the attack took place on the 86 acres of Rock Creek Cemetery and are looking for a man wearing black clothing and a white medical mask.
