    Katz approves decision to allow 7,000 notices to be sent to haredim

    Defense Minister Israel Katz has approved the distribution of 7,000 IDF draft notices to haredi soldiers, the Israeli Ministry of Defense said in a statement Friday morning.

    He added that recruitment announcements will be sent gradually and based on the IDF’s evaluations, starting from Sunday.

    The ministry also said that the purpose of the recruitment is to ensure the integration of haredim into the IDF to ease the burden on conscripts and reservists while protecting the Torah world.
