NAPLES, Fla. — On Sunday, Nov. 10, the Naples Police Department said officers responded to a verbal disturbance call at a hotel.

During the investigation, officers discovered 38-year-old Jason Qazim Arif was a registered sex offender in Colorado.

Police announced that Arif was convicted of sexual assault and abuse of a child in 2012.

The department said Arif visited Collier County but did not register as a sex offender under the requirements of Florida State Statutes.

Arif was arrested for failure to register as a sex offender and transported to the Collier County Jail.
