Ryan Reynolds joked that he would put his connection to Taylor Swift’s family on his “tombstone.”

The 48-year-old actor, who has daughters James, nine, Inez, seven, and Betty, four, and son Olin, 21 months, with wife Blake Lively, is thankful for his friendship with the ‘Cruel Summer’ hitmaker and said it means more to him than anything else in his life.

“He’s my daughters’ godfather. I actually need that on my tombstone,” he told Deadline.

Over the summer, Taylor shared an Instagram Story urging her 273 million followers to see Ryan and Hugh Jackman’s ‘Deadpool and Wolverine’ movie, and the Canadian actor admitted that her support probably caused a big boost in box office numbers.

He said: “That was sweet. Not just sweet; you could probably gauge a box office hit based on Taylor doing something like that.”

The 34-year-old singer’s post included a photo of herself with Ryan, Blake, Hugh and director Shawn Levy, and hailed the film as “a true portal to joy.”

He wrote: “He has created the best work of his life, and this film feels like a genuine portal of joy, a wild escape from reality, and an abs sandwich.

“I don’t know how you did it. Shout out to Wade Wilson, my god children’s sperm donor!”

Meanwhile, after Ryan and Blake attended Taylor’s ‘Eras’ show in New Orleans last month, the ‘Proposal’ actress admitted that she will “never forget” the concert because it was such a special and unique experience.

“When I’m 95 and my wife and kids take me outside and into the sun for a sandwich, I’ll still be talking about seeing this show in New Orleans,” he said on his Instagram page.

“Not just because it’s one of the best things I’ve ever seen/heard/felt. And not just because you see the amazing and positive economic impact this tour has had on small businesses all over NOLA, a town that has been through a lot for a long time.

“The real reason I will never forget this show is because it brought people together in so many ways. And in 2024 (where there is very little of this feeling) this is a special and incredibly rare thing.

“I’ve shot movies in New Orleans for most of my career. It’s a special place on a normal day, but this weekend it felt like the Super Bowl or Mardi Gras had a musical baby.

“I don’t understand the unimaginable work, care, talent, and discipline it takes @taylorswift to create an experience like this because I am not a scientist. It is an athletic event and a collective cultural phenomenon. Huge but intimate.

“The only problem is that not everyone can be in the audience to experience what they see and feel. Taking care of yourself is something I wish you knew. But this is not physically possible, and even if it were possible, you wouldn’t be able to buy tickets at the last minute.”
